🚀 New Features and Releases
New language support
Pressbooks now supports Urdu, (modern) Hebrew, and Amharic in both the platform interface and exported formats. These additions improve multilingual authoring and book production.
Robots privacy setting
What it is: A new book-level setting allows authors and admins to block AI systems from ingesting content.
How it works: In the Sharing and Privacy Settings, you can now select “Discourage AI from ingesting this book” in the Robots section.
Release notes in the admin dashboard
Network managers can now view the latest release notes directly from their Pressbooks dashboard—no need to leave your network to stay updated.
🔧 Other Updates and Improvements
- You can now display authors, editors anb translators on book home page in a consistent way
- The color picker tool in Book Appearance >Theme Options is now accessible
- We resolved visibility issues in web books when header logos use white text on a colored background
