Special Release: Pressbooks Content Toolkit
Announcing the Pressbooks Content Toolkit (Free Trial through February 26th, 2026)
Accessibility remediation and content quality workflows can be time-consuming and complex. The Content Toolkit is built to ease that burden by:
- Empowering authors with real-time accessibility guidance as they write and edit
- Helping administrators scan content at scale
- Reducing time spent finding and fixing broken links
These tools complement your existing workflows and support both content creators and network managers as you prepare materials to meet institutional and regulatory expectations.
What’s in the Content Toolkit
The Content Toolkit brings together a set of time-saving features that help authors and administrators proactively identify and address common issues in learning content.
Accessibility Assist (powered by Editoria11y)
Pressbooks Accessibility Assist is a set of tools powered by Editoria11y that help authors identify, understand, and address accessibility issues in Pressbooks content, both while content is being created and across their published books.
The Accessibility Assist Author Tool helps authors create more inclusive learning materials from the start by providing real-time guidance on accessibility. It empowers creators to catch issues as they write, reduce remediation later, and ensure all learners can engage with content effectively.
NEW: Also included in the Content Toolkit is the Accessibility Assist Scanner Tool which saves authors time by automatically updating the report for a whole book with one click.

Link Checker
The Link Checker scans content for broken or unreachable links, making it easy for authors to identify and fix issues. The Link Checker helps authors keep learning materials reliable and provides visitors with a smooth, error-free reading experience.

Network Book Scanner
The Network Book Scanner allows network managers to request bulk scans of multiple books and view the most recent results in one place. This tool makes it easy to identify issues, prioritize fixes, and ensure materials meet accessibility and quality standards.
