Prince 16 updates

We have upgraded from Prince 15 to Prince 16 (the software used to convert HTML documents to PDF), enabling better accessibility in those exports. Some specific fixes include:

  • Table of contents are tagged correctly (instead of being tagged as lists)
  • Language tags are exported correctly

Note: It is still possible to toggle between Prince 15 and 16 at the individual book level in Appearance > Theme Options > PDF Options, but that Prince 16 is the new default for new exports.

Deprecation of My Catalog Feature

The My Catalog feature will be removed in a future release (target: Q4 2026).

Usage has declined over time, and most functionality is now available through the improved Network Catalog. Removing legacy functionality helps simplify the platform and reduce maintenance overhead.

What should users do?

  • Use Network Catalogs to curate and share collections.
  • Consider custom landing pages or external curation/discovery tools.

Enterprise clients using My Catalog will be contacted directly to discuss options.

Unlink Broken Links

You can now remove broken links directly from the Link Checker report, making content maintenance more efficient. “Unlinking” will leave the linked text in place but remove the link that the text previously pointed to.

How it works

  • Unlink action is available for individual broken links as well as bulk
  • Confirmation dialog explains the impact before changes are made
  • If a URL appears multiple times in a chapter, all occurrences are fixed in one action.
