It’s time for us to lift the curtain on some major changes here at Pressbooks! We’ve spent a lot of time over the last month doing some much-needed maintenance across the platform, including theme improvements and changes to the user experience for institutions using single-sign on technology. These past weeks also included important work on
We just added a new book design theme couple: Asimov and Asimov Color. This theme is built for Scifi of course, but can probably suit a whole bunch of styles from sciencey nonfiction to literary fiction. What would you use it for? It’s named for Isaac Asimov, of course. For the color version of the theme we decided to go with a spacey blue for the title fonts, and a darker blue for some of the other highlights. Like? Or not? Let us know.
As with all our themes, this is built to work in all ebook platforms: Kindle, Kobo, Apple iBooks, Nook etc, as well as with print-on-demand providers (for the usual suspects: Createspace, IngramSpark, and Lulu).
You can find some screenshots below, and as with all our book design themes, you’ll find Asimov and Asimov in the Appearance tab of Pressbooks.com. And as always, reach out if you have troubles: email@example.com.
